2012-01-07 "Eureka PD arrests 6 at Occupy Eureka, early morning Jan 7th"
Just after midnight, this morning, two Eureka Police Officers walked up to the encampment, surveyed it, and walked off. Around 1:15am, three or four police cruisers and a service truck pulled up and started arresting people. In the end, six people were arrested. EPD told one Occupy Eureka participant that they were going to start arresting people again because the camping tickets "aren't working."
In the midst of the chaos, a man who no one present seemed to recognize, jumped over the fence surrounding the lawn and raised a sign on the flagpole. The sign read "Yahweh." Two officers entered the fenced area to pursue the man.
