National Chalk the Police Day

Get out your chalk and tell the cops whats on your mind. Did you know that while teachers are getting laid off, the Santa Cruz County sheriffs are building a new $44 million facility, money is allotted to countless surveillance endeavors, and eight new police officers have been hired? Well I'm sure most people in Santa Cruz don't know that either! Chalk up the streets and let them know on October 1st.
