Vallejo police suspect a gang conflict as the root of an Arkansas Street drive-by shooting Sunday night.
Police arrived on the 200 block of Arkansas shortly after 9:23 p.m. to find that all those involved had scattered, leaving only 18 spent brass casings -- one into a local resident's vehicle -- at the scene, Vallejo Sgt. Jeff Bassett said.
No one was apparently injured in a shooting, described by a witness as young Hispanic men in dark clothing allegedly driving by and shooting at a group of four Hispanic men dressed in red, Bassett said. The men in red were allegedly engaged in painting graffiti on a fence, Bassett said.
One person wearing red was allegedly identified by a witness as an area resident and known Sureño gang member, Bassett said.

Last I heard...RED was the color for the Nortenos...BLUE is Suereno!
I'm just sayin'...if you're reporting it...get it right.
[goes on to say]
Of Course...if he was indeed a Suereno and he WAS indeed wearing RED...Then logically...his homies were the ones shooting at HIM!!
Painting red graffitti while wearing red in the 200 block of Arkansas is like having a death wish!
Must have been an initiation rite!! LOL!
