2012-02-15 "Charges DROPPED Against Eureka Occupier Who Was Beat By Police With Baton"
Wrongful Arrests, Excessive Force, Secret Premises for attacking Occupy Eureka (which is now in its 129th day!)
Andrew Hamer was one of 33 people arrested en masse on November 14 2011 without warning and without cause.  He was beat about his head with a metal baton by EPD's teen killer Terry Liles; while EPD interim chief and bagman, Murl Harpham, watched; while Humboldt Sheriff's Deputy, Charles Lamb tried to block peoples' view; while cameras were rolling.  It has been traumatizing for Andrew and people who witnessed.
Of course, even with youtube video publicizing the beating, nothing was done by our "tents equal terrorism" District Attorney in a legal realm, except to charge the victim, Andrew, with crimes.Witnesses that night were attacked, arrested, and charged with crimes.  Today, probably due to the City of Eureka not wanting to give up their insurance company's video, the case was dismissed. 
This is one of the last cases from the Occupy Eureka arrests in November and December-  all have been dismissed, not charged, or went away after some prosecutorial shenanigans in court.
We are glad that Andrew no longer has to deal with criminal charges.
